Freshman QB Daniel Richardson’s explosive game leads Booker T. to rout of rival Edison

Booker T. Washington freshman quarterback Daniel Richardson threw for four touchdowns and 270 yards in the first of half of the Tornadoes’ 50-12 blowout of District 8-4A rival Edison at Traz Powell Stadium.

Defensive back Jahlil Rankin put the Tornadoes (5-5, 4-0) ahead early with a 30-yard fumble return touchdown on Edison’s first drive. Booker T. scored 21 points off of three turnovers by Edison (5-4, 1-3) and led 42-6 at the half.

Jaquan Beaver: The sophomore defensive end had two sacks and a forced fumble.

Darrius Scott: The senior receiver caught five passes for 94 yards and a score.
