The Gators took a 27-0 lead into halftime and never looked back on the way to a 34-14 victory over the Cobras on Thursday night at Curtis Park. Goleman (3-6, 3-5) and South Miami (2-6, 2-5) both entered the game eliminated from playoff contention in District 16-7A.
South Miami running back Don Davis sustained an injury to his left arm early in the first quarter. Davis left the field on a stretcher and was taken by ambulance to Jackson Memorial Hospital. Davis was leading the Cobras with 16 yards on four carries when the injury occurred.
Daryn Jones: Rushed for 22 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Jones completed one 19-yard pass to Richard Greenwood for a touchdown and ran in a two-point conversion for the Gators.

Derrick Hall: Scored a 56-yard touchdown on his first carry of the game for Goleman, and finished with a team-high 89 rushing yards on seven carries.
