North Miami Beach breaks through for first district win by beating Hialeah Gardens
Both teams entered Thursday afternoon’s District 13-8A game at Hialeah Gardens winless in district play and it was the Chargers who earned their first district win, beating Hialeah Gardens 34-14.
NMB (2-6, 1-3) was led by running back Vinshaun Cobham, who finished with 163 yards on 27 carries and scored four of the Chargers’ five touchdowns. Gardens (2-6, 0-4) lost its sixth in a row after winning its first two games of the season.

Cobham: He scored three of his four touchdowns in the first half to stake his team to a 20-14 lead at the break.
Maury Ramos: Gardens had no offensive highlights but, Ramos returned two kickoffs for touchdowns.
