Southridge defense dominates Homestead 23-0

Billy Gibson’s fourth-quarter interception return capped off Southridge’s 23-0 victory over Homestead in a District 16-8A game at Harris Field.

The Spartans (4-4, 2-1) held Homestead (2-5, 0-2) to just four yards in the first half. Homestead had just 94 total yards and turned the ball over twice.

Cliff Smith Jr.: Led Southridge with 67 yards rushing on 22 carries and a touchdown.

Mark Pope: Scored on a 40-yard pass from Drakar Jerry with 2:43 remaining.
