Doral makes fourth quarter comeback, beats Goleman 21-14

Doral trailed 14-0 at the start of the fourth quarter but the Firebirds put on a furious rally to win the District 16-7A game 21-14 at Milander Stadium.

Following a Goleman fumble with 1:10 left, Doral (3-4, 2-4) drove 62 yards in just 40 seconds, thanks to two big pass hookups of 27 yards and 34 yards to from Bryan Cuellar to Dextan Hodge, the latter putting the ball on the 1-yard line, where Nick Delgado scored on the next play with 30 seconds left for the game winner. Goleman fell to 2-6, 2-5.

Hodge: He was the offensive key for Doral as he caught all six completed passes for 110 yards.

Daryn Jones: The Goleman quarterback totaled 110 yards on the ground and one touchdown.
