Miami High shuts out Homestead 43-0

Three defensive touchdowns propelled the Stingarees (3-3) to a non-district victory over host Homestead (2-4).

The defensive scores came on a Tavaris Phillips’ 60-yard fumble return, a Antquan Kinsey 16-yard interception and a 40-yard fumble return from Desmond Fairell. The Stings’ defense recovered three fumbles and had six sacks.

Marcelo Rodriguez: Passed for 122 yards with a touchdown while also rushing for 30 yards and a score.

Desmond Fairell: Caught two passes for 39 yards including a 26-yard touchdown.
