Belen turns back Southwest 16-10

Belen overcame two fumbles and an uncharacteristic 10 penalties to earn a key 15-8A victory, 16-10, against Southwest.

Gabriel Estrada ran for 46 yards on the go-ahead drive for Belen (3-3, 2-0), capped by his 1-yard touchdown in the fourth.

Southwest (4-1, 1-1) reached the Belen 30 after starting its final drive from the 1, but had a pass dropped in the end zone.

Estrada: Led Belen’s rushing attack with 64 yards on 12 carries.

John Jaramillo: Threw for 90 yards including a touchdown to Marquise McCrea in the first half.
