Columbus shuts out Coral Park 41-0
From Columbus's first offense play, the game plan was clear: Be efficient. This thought process resulted in big-play touchdowns and a runaway victory over winless Coral Park (0-5, 0-2 in District 14-8A) for the host Explorers (6-0, 2-0).
CJ Henderson scored the only three times he touched the ball while quarterback Alejandro Ros went 4-for-6 with 60 yards and two touchdowns.
TOP TWO
Nomar Hernandez: Led Coral Park with six catches for 82 yards.
Henderson: Ran for 86 yards on three carries and had three rushing touchdowns.
THEY SAID IT
“We executed on every play. Coral Park came out with a similar scheme as Belen, so we were ready for them.”
— Quarterback Alejandro Ros
