Palmetto defeats Homestead 27-6

The Panthers started slow, but came alive in the second quarter to earn a district 16-8A victory over the Broncos (2-3, 0-1).

Palmetto (4-1, 1-1) started the second quarter with two scores in under a minute. The first came on a one-yard run by Sherron Jackson; Quincy Mays then scored on a 35-yard run. The Panthers also scored on a pair of short runs in the third from Xzayvious Neal and Jackson.

Sherron Jackson: Led the Panthers with 71 rushing yards on 15 carries with two touchdowns.

Hugh Lowson: Was 4-for-6 for 112 yards.
