South Miami picks up first win by beating still winless Mourning 12-7

The Cobras got the victory in the battle of previously winless teams at North Miami Stadium.

Running back Robert Coleman ran for 142 yards on 18 carries and his 33-yard touchdown in the second gave South Miami (1-4, 1-3 in 16-7A) a lead it would never lose.

When Cobra quarterback Antoine Wright scored from the 4 with nine minutes left, South Miami led 12-0.

Mourning (0-4, 0-3) got a 74-yard touchdown by quarterback Dontae Charles a minute later but never threatened again.
