Miami Beach runs over Coral Park in district opener

The Hi Tides (2-1) rushed for 347 yards and six touchdowns in a 47-8 win in their District 14-8A opener at Memorial Field.

Junior quarterback Eddie Brill connected with Randle Jones for a 21-yard touchdown less than a minute into the game after a muffed kickoff. Miami Beach never looked back and held a 32-0 halftime lead ovetr the Rams (0-4).

Inclement weather delayed the game for an hour and a half; A running clock began with just under five minutes to play.

Jones: Caught three passes for 50 yards and a score. He also ran for 206 yards and a touchdown.

Marcus Ruiz: Ran for 85 yards on 17 carries for the Rams.
