Miami Springs defeats Doral Academy 25-3
Miami Springs won its second consecutive District 16-7A game behind an effective running game and a stingy defense.
Running back Darryel Bethune recorded his second 100-yard game of the season by rushing for 121 yards and two touchdowns. The Golden Hawks (2-1, 2-0) defense did not allow a touchdown, forced a safety, and set up the offense to score with a 56-yard interception return by Antwon Lloyd.
TOP TWO
Nick Delgado: The senior running back had 72 yards.
David Bradley: Caught three passes for 84 yards.
THEY SAID IT
“Our defense had a flawless game in not allowing a touchdown. My power is what allowed me to run over their defense.”
