Varela has little trouble in 45-0 victory over Coral Park

Jonathan Aburto passed for four touchdowns in the opening half and ran for another as Varela cruised to a 45-0 victory over Coral Park on Thursday night.

Pedro Felix caught two first half scores, while Delano Morgan needed just four carries to tally 120 yards for the Vipers (2-0).

“We knew we had to come out flying,” Aburto said. “We prepared all week, coming off of a bye. We just wanted to see how much better we got offensively. We grinded, and the results came out.”

Marcus Ruiz led the Rams (0-3) with 18 carries for 73 yards.

“We are going to enjoy this and use it as confidence for our next opponent,” Aburto said.
