Miami Springs runs over Barbara Goleman, 31-23
Miami Springs used its powerful running game and defense to defeat Barbara Goleman (0-2, 0-1) on Friday night at Milander Park to capture the team’s first win of the season.
Running back Darryel Bethune recorded the a game-high 168 rushing yards and two rushing scores for Miami Springs (1-1, 1-0). Teammate David Bradley had two interceptions, taking one back for a 68-yard touchdown.
Goleman quarterback Daryn Jones and Kalonji Hill rushed for 100 and 103 yards, respectively, and John Correa added 86 yards. Jones and Hill combined for the team’s three touchdowns.
