Ferguson cruises past Hialeah Gardens with ease

Using a no-huddle offense, Ferguson (5-1) raced to a 33-0 halftime lead over Hialeah Gardens (2-4) and cruised to a 47-14, non-district win at Tropical Stadium.

The Falcons equaled their win total from last season, when they went 5-5.

Ferguson, which leads District 15-8A with a 2-0 record, will play league games over the next three weeks against Sunset, Southwest and Belen to determine Ferguson’s first district title in school history.

Against Hialeah Gardens, Ferguson rushed for 391 yards, including long touchdown runs by Gianni McCrea (60 yards) and Anthony Moscoso (65 yards) in the first quarter.
