Hilton Joseph leads North Miami in rout of Coral Reef
Hilton Joseph threw for 437 passing yards and scored five total touchdowns to lead the North Miami Pioneers (5-1, 0-2) to a 40-7 victory over the Coral Reef Barracudas (1-6, 0-2) Thursday evening at Southridge Park.
“This was a revenge game for us because they beat us last year,” said Joseph. “We would not come down here and lose again.”
Joseph scored three rushing touchdowns in the first half, all on runs inside the 10-yard line. His touchdown passes came on a 5-yard pass to Tavaris Harrison and a 71-yard pass to Joshua Mentor.
Victor Sam was Joseph’s main target, and finished with 10 receptions for 127 yards. Joseph was 26 for 37 passing.
Coral Reef’s Jawon Hamilton scored the first points of the game on a 78-yard run. He had 105 yards in the first quarter, and finished the game with 134 yards.
