Amir Rasul’s three TD runs lead Coral Gables to rout of Coral Reef

Three touchdown runs by Amir Rasul helped Coral Gables to a 28-0 win over Coral Reef on Friday afternoon at Tropical Park.

“In the first half we were a little slow, but in the second half we turned it up,” Rasul said.

A 3-yard touchdown run by Rasul was the only score of the first half.

Gables (3-1, 0-1) added three second-half touchdowns, all on runs.

Coral Reef’s young team is struggling with a schedule that has included Miami Central and Killian. The Barracudas (1-4, 0-1) have not scored since a 28-6 loss to Cooper City on Sept.5.

Rasul led the Cavaliers with 106 yards on 18 carries.
