Booker T. Washington has no trouble lifting its record to 6-0

Booker T. outscored Pace 34-6 in the first half en route to a 51-6 victory at Curtis Park. The Tornadoes (6-0, 1-0 District 8-4A) are currently ranked No. 5 nationally by USA Today.

Junior running back Mark Walton led Booker T. with 77 yards on seven carries and scored three touchdowns.

“My O-line did a great job up front giving me a clear lane to hit the holes,” Walton said.

Pace (1-3, 0-1) scored in the second quarter on a 70-yard interception return by Rodley Velia.

Booker T. quarterback Maurice Alexander passed for a game-high 225 yards with two touchdowns and added 40 rushing yards.
