Killian routed North Miami Beach (1-2) 38-9 to improve to 3-0 at North Miami Stadium.
After a sloppy first quarter, Killian scored in the second quarter with a 79-yard touchdown pass from sophomore Antwan Collier to senior Anthony Olivencia. The Cougars led the Chargers the rest of the game.
Killian took a 17-2 lead into the fourth quarter, but made it 31-2 after a pair of rushing touchdowns by Collier and sophomore Bentavious Thompson. Collier sealed the game with a 12-yard touchdown pass to senior Saladine Mortimore with 2:34 remaining.
Killian’s defense pitched a shutout with North Miami Beach’s only scores coming off a safety and an 85-yard kickoff return by Lavan Thompson in the fourth quarter. North Miami Beach finished the game with just four first downs.

“They’re resilient,” Killian coach Cory Johnson said of his players. “They stuck their head in there no matter what, man, and just gradually kept fighting.”
University of Miami commit senior Jaquan Johnson, a senior, had two a pair of electric punt returns, including a 70-yard return for a touchdown in the third quarter, called back due to blocks in the back.
