Pinder helps Southridge push past Goleman
Freddie Pinder caught just three passes, but two of them went for touchdowns as Southridge (2-1) cruised to a 33-6 rout of Goleman (0-2) at Southridge Park.
On his first touchdown, Pinder outjumped the defensive back and then stiff-armed him on his way to the end zone for a 45-yard score.
On the next offensive play for the Spartans, Rodney Scott made a similar grab, but instead of the stiff-arm, he cut back and ran the rest of the way for a 44-yard touchdown.
Nearing the end of the first half, quarterback Jerry Drakar found Pinder in the corner of the end zone, where he was able to keep a foot in play and score from 33 yards out.
Pinder finished with 112 yards, and Drakar threw for 209.
Backup quarterback Shawn Chandler capped off the night with a 50-yard touchdown run in the second half.
