Morgan helps Killian shake off slow start, beat Coral Reef
The Killian Cougars, led by Delano Morgan, were able to shake off a rough start to the game to get a big 41-18 victory over district rival Coral Reef.
The Cougars were down early in the second quarter after a misplayed punt gave Coral Reef excellent field position.
Killian was able to regain the lead after Morgan scored his second rushing touchdown in the second quarter.
“The second touchdown was great for momentum,” Morgan said. “It showed that we had a lot fight left in the game and the season.”
The Cougars were able to extend the lead to 10 points before the end of the half after a 30-yard touchdown strike from Cariq Rackley to Antwan Anderson.
Killian sophomore quarterback Rackley had 161 yards by halftime and had 213 for the game.
