Ohio State suspends former American Heritage star
After scoring a pair of touchdowns in Ohio State's spring game, much was expected for redshirt freshman Torrance Gibson this coming season.
And then he was suspended.
According to a release put out by the university, the former American Heritage standout will be suspended for the fall semester due to violating the school's student code of conduct.
An All-American at Heritage, Gibson led the Patriots to consecutive state championships in 2013-14.
After sticking with his commitment to the Buckeyes, Gibson switched to wide receiver and didn't play last season.
As a senior at Heritage, Gibson threw for 1,953 yards, 21 touchdowns and three interceptions and ran for 1,002 yards and 13 scores.
