Romilaire Ambroise scored the game-winning goal as the Deerfield Beach boys’ soccer team (19-2-4) beat archrival Monarch 3-2 for the District 12-5A title.


Jacaira Allen, Dillard, girls’ basketball: The BCAA Big 8 Girls’ MVP had 21 points, 18 rebounds and 10 steals to lead the Panthers, (23-1, ranked No.9 by USA Today) over Flanagan 47-34 for the title.

Javier Silva, Cypress Bay, boys’ soccer: Silva made the clinching save in a penalty shootout as the Lightning beat St. Thomas Aquinas 3-2 (10-9 in penalty kicks) for the District 13-5A title.

Lexi Dubrueze, North Broward, girls’ soccer: Dubrueze had two goals and an assist to lead the Eagles (19-3-1) over Benjamin 5-1 in the Class 2A Region quarterfinals.

Mikiah Harrigan, Flanagan, girls’ basketball: The 6-2 junior standout had a game-high 20 points and 20 rebounds to help the Falcons (19-6) upset Class 7A No.1 Nova 60-50 in the BCAA Big 8 girls’ semifinals.

David Moya, Archbishop McCarthy, boys’ basketball: Moya scored a game-high 20 points to help the Mavericks (16-5) beat Archbishop Carroll 75-74.

Malik Morrow, Calvary Christian, boys’ basketball: Morrow had a game-high 14 points to help the Eagles rally past St. Andrews 52-50.

Antonio Vrankovic, Pine Crest, boys’ basketball: The 6-11 senior tied Brandon Knight’s school single-game-scoring record of 55 points and added 17 rebounds in a 87-65 victory over Taravella.

Andrew Valverde, South Broward , wrestling: Valverde swept the 113-pound weight division to help the Bulldogs beat Flanagan and Fort Lauderdale.
