Jaxson Kincaide’s 52-yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage sparked scores on the first four possession as the reigning Class 7A state champion St. Thomas Aquinas football team (11-1) rolled over Mater Academy 60-7 in the Class 7A regional final.


Brittany Gill, Dillard, girls’ cross-country: The Class 3A state champion finished ninth in a Florida No. 2 time of 17:45 in the Nike Southeast Nationals championships girls’ race.

Marcus Casessa, Taravella, boys’ basketball: Casessa had a game-high 22 points and eight rebounds to help the Trojans rally from a seven-point halftime deficit to beat Miramar 66-60.

Megan Joiner, Western, girls’ soccer: Joiner scored the game-winning goal to lead the Wildcats (9-1-1) over South Broward 2-0.

Alyssa Pujals, Pine Crest, girls’ cross-country: The Class 2A state champion clocked a Broward girls’ best 17:56 to finish 14th in the Foot Locker South Regional girls’ seeded race.

Malik Warren, Nova, boys’ soccer: Warren’s goal held up as the Titans beat Plantation 1-0.

Danny Ferro, Calvary Christian, boys’ cross-country: Ferro, a sixth-place finisher at the 2A state finals, won the Foot Locker South Regional boys’ sophomore race in a personal best 15:59 — eighth best for Florida boys.

Tyler Huntley, Hallandale, football: Huntley passed for 380 yards and five touchdowns, including three in the fourth quarter, as the Chargers’ rally fell short, losing 51-46 to Bishop Moore in the Class 5A regional final.

▪ Jean Evans Cinevert, Coral Springs Charter, boys’ basketball: Cinevert had a game-high 22 points to lead the Panthers over Chaminade 53-50.

Mackenzie Sadaka, South Broward, girls’ basketball: Sadaka had a team-high 16 points and nine rebounds to lead the Bulldogs (5-1) past Northeast 53-37.
