Kyshaun Bryan rushed for 200 yards on 31 carries, and Oren Milstein hit the game-winning 38-yard field goal as time expired to lift the defending Class 5A state champion Plantation American Heritage football team (11-3) over Orlando Bishop Moore 20-17 in the Class 5A state semifinals.


Michael Green, Dillard, boys’ basketball: The senior guard poured in a game-high 31 points, including five three-pointers, to lead the Panthers (5-0) over rival Palm Beach Dwyer 80-73 at the Kreul Showcase.

Aly Mielke, Calvary Christian, girls’ soccer: Mielke scored twice to lead the Eagles (7-3-1) over Coral Springs Charter 2-0.

Jordan Scarlett, St. Thomas Aquinas, football: The Miami commit rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown as the Raiders (13-1), ranked No.15 in the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 national rankings, piled up 281 rushing yards to defeat Tarpon Springs 45-7 in the Class 7A state semifinals.

Claudine Dorestil, South Plantation, girls’ basketball: Dorestil had a game-high 11 points to lead the Paladins to a 41-39 double-overtime victory over Western.

Ryan Stanley, Flanagan, football: Stanley threw two touchdowns passes to Keavon Mitchell, but the undefeated season for the Falcons (13-1) ended in a 16-12 loss to Miami Columbus in the Class 8A state semifinals.

Melissa Mesa, Everglades, girls’ soccer: Mesa scored two goals to lead the Gators (6-4-0) over Hialeah Gardens 3-2.

Kajuan Kinsey, Coral Springs Charter, boys’ basketball: Kinsey had a game-high 20 points, including four three-pointers, to lead the Panthers over Chaminade 66-49.

Warwick Sterling, Piper, boys’ soccer: Sterling had two goals to lead the Bengals (5-4-1) over Cooper City 4-1.

Shae Pierce, Hollywood Christian, girls’ basketball: Pierce poured in 42 points, including four three-pointers, to lead the Eagles (6-1) over Highlands Christian 66-56.
