Deerfield Beach holds off Gibbons 37-20

Deerfield Beach scored 20 points in the first 3:37 of the second half to pull away from host Cardinal Gibbons. Cortez Grace started the barrage for the Bucks (9-1) with a 37-yard interception return for a score. The interception was one of six for Deerfield with Simeon Brown getting two of them.

Ashtan Pierre blocked a punt on the Chiefs (4-6) next possession, giving the offense the ball at the 21. Another interception, this time at Gibbons 37, all but put the game away.

Teddrick Moffett: The quarterback for the Bucks passed for 185 yards and rushed for 78, totaling four touchdowns

Cavin Ridley: Moffett’s favorite target had eight receptions for 110 yards and two scores.
