St. Thomas Aquinas beats Ely 37-13 to win district title
Despite having just one win this season, Ely hosted St. Thomas Aquinas for the District 14-7A championship. Zackery Perdue returned after missing the past four games for the Tigers (1-8, 1-1) and kept it close. But after reinjuring his ankle and leaving in the second half, the Raiders (7-1, 2-0) pulled away to a 37-13 victory.
St. Thomas outgained Ely 366-153 and scored on seven of its 11 possessions, including three field goals by James McCourt.
