Ryan Stanley threw three touchdowns and Natrone Ray led a defensive surge that kept Monarch quarterback Michael Harris 1 yard shy of the end zone on a fourth-and-goal at the 2-yard line as the Flanagan football team (12-0) held on a for a 27-21 overtime victory over Monarch (10-2) in the Region 3-8A semifinals.


Jordano Chea, Monarch, boys’ soccer: Chea had four goals and three assists in wins over Spanish River, Coral Glades and Taravella.

Luis Gonzalez, Chaminade, boys’ basketball: Gonzalez had 21 points and seven assists to help the Lions hold off McArthur 81-76 at the Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament.

Annette Hernandez, Cypress Bay, girls’ soccer: Hernandez had two goals to lead the Lightning (7-0) over Palm Beach Wellington 3-1

Prince Ali, Sagemont, boys’ basketball: The UCLA commit had a game-high 25 points to lead the defending Class 3A state champions over defending Class 6A state champion Norland 65-41 at the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic.

Cory Roberts and Javan Bullock, University School, boys’ soccer: Roberts and Bullock scored a goal apiece in a 3-1 victory over Hialeah Education Academy.

Jake Rizzo, St. Thomas Aquinas, football: Rizzo threw four first-half touchdown passes to lead the Raiders (10-1) over Plantation 38-6 in the Region 4-7A semifinals.

Janarvis Pough, American Heritage, football: Pough caught three touchdown passes to lead the reigning Class 5A state champion Patriots (9-3) over Naples 43-13 in the Region 4-5A semifinals.

Jeilyn Perez, Pines Charter, girls’ basketball: Perez had a game-high 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Jaguars (4-0) over Coral Springs 65-41.
