Quarterback D’Angelo Fulford led Miramar with 265 passing yards and three touchdowns as the Patriots blew out host Everglades 42-6 in the annual Mayor’s Cup between the District 12-8A schools on Friday night.
The Patriots (4-5, 3-2) scored on their first play of the game on a 20-yard touchdown pass from Fulford to receiver Kyle Anthony. Fulford and Anthony hooked up again on an 18-yard touchdown pass at the end of the first quarter to put Miramar up 21-6.
Miramar forced two fumbles, recorded three sacks and held Everglades (2-6, 1-4) to just 109 total yards. The two teams eliminated from playoff contention combined for 231 penalty yards on 22 penalties.

Kyle Anthony: The senior receiver caught three passes for 83 yards and two touchdowns in the first half.
Gregori McCrae: McCrae caught six passes for 137 yards and ran for 40 yards on three carries.
