Flanagan dominates Cypress bay to clinch district title, 37-0

Flanagan (7-1, 5-1) dominated Cypress Bay (3-5, 2-3) at home, clinching the District 8A-12 title for the second consecutive season with a 37-0 victory.

The Falcons defense emphatically stymied the Lightning in the first half, allowing zero yards from scrimmage and forcing an interception.

Quarterback Kato Nelson starred for Flanagan, passing for 176 yards and two touchdowns as well as rushing for 108 yards and two scores.

Top Two

Nikholi Jahgai: Made a diving interception and returned a punt 37 yards, leading to two quick Flanagan touchdowns.

Clevan Thomas: Caught four passes for 44 yards and a touchdown.
