Piper empties playbook to beat Douglas, 13-7
Piper (6-0, 2-0 in 11-8A) ran just four offensive plays in the second quarter — two of were Rashawn Fraser touchdown passes.
Douglas (2-4, 1-1) used every trick in the book, including a halfback pass by Tai Lehtio to Lance Moise for a 45-yard score with 5:19 left but Piper’s defense ended things on an interception.
TOP TWO
Fraser: Threw for 136 yards and two scores.
Damani Phillips: Averaged 5.2 yards for the Eagles
THEY SAID IT
