American Heritage easily tops Stranahan 42-7

The Patriots (5-1, 2-0 in 16-5A) jumped out to an early 17-0 lead to top Stranahan (2-3, 0-2) 42-7 at South Plantation as receiver Brandon Johnson scored a pair of early touchdowns.

Stranahan’s bright spot was the play of its defensive backs as they made a number of key stops including a touchdown return by Dwayne Jones.

Jason Brown: The Heritage quarterback passed for 131 yards with three touchdowns and also ran one in.

Jones: Led the Dragons’ secondary and scored Stranahan’s lone touchdown off an interception.
