Visibly worn down from being on defense for 72 plays against Jacksonville Bolles’ Wing-T, Deerfield Beach surrendered four second-half touchdowns and fell 33-15 at home to the 11-time state champions Friday in a game called with 1:23 remaining due to lightning.
Bolles (5-0), which has made four consecutive appearances in the Class 4A state championship, ran for 198 yards and quarterback Mac Jones threw for 166 as the Bulldogs collected 23 first downs in the contest.
The Bucks fell to 3-1 with four of their next five games in the district.
Jones: The Kentucky commit completed 14 of 22 passes and hit Amari Terry for a late touchdown to seal it.
Teddrick Moffett: Deerfiedls quarterback ran for touchdowns of 97 and 46 yards.
