Samuels, Flanagan clobber Western 42-0
Flanagan pounded Western 42-0 on the Wildcats’ home field in a District 12-8A matchup.
Junior quarterback Stanford Samuels threw for 128 yards and one touchdown on 10-of-16 passing in the first half and also added a 37-yard touchdown run late in the second quarter. Senior quarterback Kato Nelson played the second half for the Falcons (3-1, 1-1) in his first action of the season after tearing the meniscus in his left knee over the summer.
Flanagan held Western (2-2, 1-1) to just 65 yards on offense and intercepted senior quarterback Tyler Monaco four times.
