Host Flanagan routed West Broward (0-8) 50-10 on Thursday night to win its first game since clinching the school’s first-ever district championship last week. After an emotional victory last Friday against Miramar, Flanagan coach Devin Bush said about tonight’s win, "It was a good test for us to see if we are going to play at a high level every week."
Flanagan (9-0, 5-0 District 12-8A) ran the Bobcats into the ground in the first half with four touchdowns and 105 rushing yards to take a 28-3 lead into halftime.
Running back Arkeem Granger left the game at the half with three touchdowns and 34 yards on five carries. Quarterback Ryan Stanley led the Falcons with 64 rushing yards and one touchdown on seven carries.
After a quiet a first half passing the ball, Stanley opened the third quarter with 24-yard and 25-yard completions to receiver Emonee Spence, the second going for a touchdown. Stanley left the game after that drive with one touchdown and 115 yards through the air on 9 of 12 passing.
