Deerfield Beach cruises past Cypress Bay 35-14
Senior receiver Cavin Ridley took a screen pass 70 yards for a touchdown on the first play of the game as Deerfield Beach defeated Cypress Bay at home.
Deerfield Beach recovered five Cypress Bay fumbles and had one interception in a first half marked by constant rain.
Junior Giavante Evans ended any hope of a Cypress Bay comeback late in the third quarter when he juked his way through an entire field of Lightning players to return a punt 63 yards for a touchdown.

Jake Nudelberg: The senior quarterback ran in both Cypress Bay touchdowns from inside the 5-yard line.
