Broward County’s best athletes geared up for the postseason in the winter sports with more stellar performances this past week.

This week, we continue a weekly feature where we ask you to vote for the best performer of the week in Broward County high school sports.

Below is a look at the five candidates from last week’s action. Take our poll below to cast your vote. The poll will be open until Thursday, Jan. 25, around 10 p.m.

Here are the candidates from last week’s events:

Kendrick Hodge, Somerset Academy, boys’ wrestling: Hodge scored an 18-5 major decision win over Benjamin Lewis from Live Oak Suwannee during a 165-pound finals match at the Duals wrestling state championships.

Raul Perez Ruiz, North Broward Prep, boys’ basketball: Ruiz totaled 63 points and 18 rebounds in wins over St. Thomas Aquinas and Boca Raton St. Andrews.

Fabiana Poindujour, South Broward, girls’ basketball: Poindujour totaled a combined 37 points, six rebounds, seven assists and 15 steals in wins over Stoneman Douglas and Cypress Bay.

Dwight Stephens, South Plantation, boys’ basketball: Stephens had a combined 35 points in wins over Nova and Southridge.
