Broward County’s top athletes continued to shine last week.

This week, we resume a weekly feature where we ask you to vote for the best performer of the week in Broward County high school sports.

Below is a look at the five candidates from last week’s action. Take our poll below to cast your vote. The poll will be open until Thursday, Nov. 30, around 10 p.m.

You may vote as often as you like until then.

Here are the candidates from last week’s events:

Byron Louis, American Heritage, football: Louis ran for 224 yards (132 in the second half) on 29 carries and five touchdowns to lead the Patriots to a 47-35 win over Cardinal Gibbons in the Region 3-2M final.

Chaminade senior running back Davion Gause, who rushed for 158 yards on 10 carries with three touchdowns, scores his first of the night on a two-yard run in the first quarter of Friday’s 40-0 win over Cardinal Newman in the Region 3-1M final.

Davion Gause, Chaminade, football: Gause ran for 158 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries to help the Lions cruise to a 40-0 win over Cardinal Newman.

Antonio Ward, Monarch, football: Ward caught nine passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns to help the Knights advance to their first state final four following a 35-13 win over Palm Beach Central.

Dylan Garcia, Cardinal Gibbons, boys’ soccer: Garcia totaled three goals and an assist to lead the Chiefs to wins over Boca Raton FAU and Highlands Christian.
