Travante Franklin leads potent run game for Miramar Patriots
Things could not have gone better for Miramar (4-2, 2-0 District 12-8A) in its 35-0 victory over McArthur.
Patriots running back Travante Franklin scored twice in the victory, first on a 60-yard punt return as the first quarter expired and again in the third quarter with a 3-yard touchdown run. Franklin led a dominant rushing game for the Patriots, finishing with 128 yards on just nine carries.
“We’ve been wanting to get Travante running for quite some time, and he did just that,” Miramar coach Matt Stout said.
The Mustangs struggled to get anything going against Miramar’s defense, managing just 17 yards of offense.
