There was no trick to Flanagan’s offense Saturday: Anthony Johnson was getting the football.
Johnson responded with 23 carries for 138 yards and a touchdown in a 12-0 victory at Western, a continuation of Friday’s weather-suspended game.
The Falcons (3-1, 2-0 12-8A) took the 12-0 lead into the locker room after the first quarter and never came back to the field Friday after lightning and weather issues. Johnson and Denzeil Alvis put the Falcons on the board with 1-yard and 45-yard scoring runs.
“[On Saturday] we were kind of slacking,” Johnson said. “We didn’t do as well as we were supposed to do. I guess we came out with low self-esteem. We got to be better.”

Neither team could scrape together any points Saturday. Keshaun Clarke was the only offense for the Wildcats (2-2, 1-1), with 19 carries for 50 yards. Kevin Oliver had two sacks for the Wildcats.
