Dr. Krop beats Mourning; LaSalle tops Country Day

Quarterback Matthew Bethel completed eight of nine passes for 180 yards -- with three touchdown passes to Randal St. Felix -- as Dr. Krop ran away with a 63-0 victory over Mourning at Ives Estates on Friday afternoon.

Junior back Lawrence Pappilion ran for 125 yards with two touchdowns and Justin Karoksos had two punt returns for touchdowns.

▪ LaSalle 28, Miami Country Day 7: The host Royal Lions ran out to a 21-0 lead and held on to win a rain-shortened Southeastern Football Conference opener on Friday afternoon.

Junior Draquan Jones ran for 70 yards and opened the scoring on a 35-yard run. The Spartans got their lone score on a 68-yard run by Hector Estupinan in the third.
