Coral Springs Charter football coach Adam Miller takes graduate assistant job at FIU
Adam Miller helped put the Coral Springs Charter football team on the map over the past four seasons.
On Wednesday, Miller made it known he is off to the college level to coach after accepting a job as a graduate assistant at FIU.
“Being able to come home to Charter and have the success that we did has been an amazing start to my coaching career,” Miller said. “All we accomplished is a credit to the players we had and their passion for the game and our program. I’m so thankful for the opportunity I was given and the memories.”
Following Miller’s departure Coral Springs Charter, which won the independent Southeastern Football Conference this past season with a perfect 11-0 record, announced it has promoted defensive coordinator Matt Garris to head coach.
Miller led the Panthers to a 31-11 record over the past four seasons.
“I have no doubt in my mind Matt will do a phenomenal job leading the program,” Miller said. “He was a huge part of the success we had this past season. He’s not only a great coach but an even better mentor and leader of young men and with him leading the way, the future is very bright.”
BIG CHALLENGE
Chaminade-Madonna football coach Jason Milgrom announced Wednesday that the Lions have agreed to play national powerhouse Bradenton IMG Academy next season. Chaminade is set to host IMG on Nov. 5 at 1 p.m. for its regular-season finale. IMG finished this past season ranked No. 4 nationally by USA Today.
The Lions have already agreed to open next season at Plantation American Heritage.
