James Sutton wreaks havoc for Westminster Christian in 56-8 rout of International School of Broward

James Sutton shadowed and sabotaged quarterbacks in host Miami Westminster Christian’s 56-8 thumping of the International School of Broward (0-1) on Saturday afternoon.

The senior defensive end had 3.5 sacks — including one play where he recorded a sack, strip and fumble recovery — in the victory. Daniel Duasso also recovered a fumble, and he took it for a 32-yard score at 5:44 in the first quarter.

“The defense is holding up. It’s going to be a long season, but everybody is coming together,” Sutton said. “Coach always teaches: finish, finish, finish. That’s what we did: finish.”

Offensively, Daren Jones led Westminster Christian (2-1) with 34 rushing yards, 42 receiving yards and two scores.
