This week, we continue a feature where we ask you to vote for the best high school varsity performer of the week (in Broward and Miami-Dade counties).

This week includes nominees from high school basketball, soccer and wrestling.

Aimee Colson, St. Thomas Aquinas soccer: the junior keeper made a huge 1-on-1 save in the second half to key a 1-0 victory over Niceville for her 17th shutout in the FHSAA Girls’ Soccer 6A State Championship game. She made four saves, including two in the second half, to preserve a 2-0 shutout over Viera in the state semifinal.

Jordan Corbitt, Miami Country Day basketball: the junior guard scored 24 points with eight assists as the Spartans beat three-time reigning state champ Riviera Prep 84-76 for the Region 4-2A title.

Cayden Daughtry, Calvary Christian basketball: the junior guard scored 13 of his team-high 21 points in the second quarter as the Eagles won the FHSAA Region 3-3A boys’ basketball title with an 88-63 victory over Boca Raton St. Andrew’s.

Nicole Lee, Lourdes soccer: the senior co-captain had one goal and one assist in a 3-0 victory over Tallahassee Chiles in the FHSAA Class 5A girls’ soccer state championship. In the state semifinal, she scored the winner with 2:04 remaining on a penalty kick as the Bobcats edged Orlando Innovation 4-3.

Benjamin Ochoa, Columbus soccer: the senior had two assists as the Explorers edged Palm Harbor University 3-2 to win the FHSAA Class 7A boys’ soccer state championship. In the state semifinal, he scored in a 4-1 win over Windermere.

Victoria Sifuentes, South Dade wrestling: the freshman won a region title at 110 pounds to help the Buccaneers win the Region 4-1A girls’ team championship.

Emma Torres, American Heritage soccer: the senior co-captain scored the insurance goal as the Patriots defeated Jacksonville Bishop Kenny 2-0 to win the FHSAA Class 4A girls’ soccer state championship. In the state semifinal, she scored the winner in a 1-0 win over Orlando Bishop Moore.

Sela Travieso, Carrollton basketball: the senior guard controlled the tempo, scoring 15 points and dishing out five assists as the Cyclones won their first region title in school history in girls’ basketball with a 73-50 victory over LaSalle in the FHSAA Region 4-3A final.

Mateo Vasquez, Pembroke Pines Charter soccer: the senior keeper made back-to-back saves in a shootout as the Jaguars stunned state’s No.1 Tampa Jesuit in an FHSAA Class 5A boys’ soccer state semifinal. He also recorded two saves in a regional final penalty kick win over Lake Worth Dr. Joaquin Garcia and the same in a regional semifinal victory over Archbishop McCarthy.

Stephanie Vega, Doral Academy basketball: the senior guard scored 21 of her 25 points in the second half as the Firebirds beat South Dade 74-45 to win the FHSAA Region 4-7A girls’ basketball title.
