Kate Welty of the Gulliver Prep girls’ volleyball team is the Miami Herald Athlete of the Week for Week 9.

The junior had 13 kills, 2 aces, 2 blocks, 3 digs and 12 serve receive to help lead the Raiders to the District 16-3A title in a 5-set thriller over Ransom Everglades.
