Miami Herald High School Athlete of the Week 3: Krop bowler Duron Blash

Duron Blash of the Dr. Krop boys’ bowling team is the Miami Herald Athlete of the Week for Week 3.

He had a 212 high game and 569 high series in a win over Hialeah Gardens and a 206 high game and 565 high series in a win over Belen Jesuit to lead the 2-0 Lightning.

The nominees included: Marcelo Carrion, Archbishop Carroll football; Sofia Dean, LaSalle volleyball; Armando Cruz, Belen Jesuit cross-country; Daniel Gutierrez, St. Brendan swimming; Sophia Broche, Florida Christian School volleyball; Rashawn Viart, Ferguson bowling; Julieta Baudini, Doral Academy cross-country; and Sohan Patel, American Heritage golf.
