South Florida’s top athletes were recognized recently in the sports of basketball and soccer.

This week, we continue a feature where we ask you to vote for the best performer of the week from basketball, soccer and wrestling in Broward and Miami-Dade counties.

Take our poll below to cast your vote. The poll will be open until Thursday, Jan. 30, around 10 p.m. You may vote as often as you like until then.

Cameron Boozer, Miami Columbus basketball: at the annual Army National Guard Hoophall Classic in Springfield, Massachusetts, the senior had 25 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks in a 76-53 win over Notre Dame High School of Sherman Oaks, California and had 31 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists in a 74-65 win over No. 21 Perry High School of Gilbert, Arizona.

Dwight Carter, Miami Northwestern basketball: the senior scored 16 points, including a buzzer-beating game winning dunk off an in-bounds alley-oop pass as the Bulls edged Miami High 52-50 in the finals of the annual GMAC Tournament.

Isabella Escobar, Miami Florida Christian soccer: the senior scored the winning goal in a District 15-2A quarterfinal victory over Miami Divine Savior 32.

J’adore Hayes, North Miami basketball: the junior scored 14 points and grabbed 30 rebounds with 5 assists and 3 blocks as the Pioneers beat Miami Ferguson 64-41 in a GMAC Tournament game.

Angel Lara, Miami Coral Park basketball: the senior had 27 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 1 blocked shot in a win over Miami Varela.

Sofia Laria, Miami Palmer Trinity basketball: the freshman guard scored 33 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in the Falcons’ upset win over Miami Mater Lakes Academy 67-56.

David Leiva, Parkland Stoneman Douglas wrestling: the unbeaten senior grappler remained undefeated after going 4-0 to help the Eagles win the Storm Front Duals at Celebration High School in Kissimmee. The day before, he was the only Douglas wrestler to record a win against powerhouse South Dade at the FHSAA Wrestling State Duals also in Kissimmee.

Liam Lesentier, Miami MAST Academy basketball: the senior had 22 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal in a loss to Miami Westland Hialeah.

Dylan McKeon, Coral Springs wrestling: the undefeated freshman grappler defeated opponents from city rivals Coral Springs Charter and Taravella to help the Colts (13-5) win the Coral Springs Challenge Cup, sponsored by Bofshever Chiropractic.

Vanessa Vancott, Miami Mater Lakes Academy basketball: the sophomore had 49 points (4-8 3-ptrs), 7 rebounds, 4 steals, 1 assist and 1 blocks in a 69-64 win over Miami Schoolhouse Prep and 34 points (4-5 3-ptrs), 4 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block in a 67-56 loss to Miami Palmer Trinity.
