On Senior Night, the Davie NSU University School boys’ soccer team shut out Davie Nova 5-0.

Nicholas Marques scored twice to lead the Sharks. Daniel Ciffoni, Gabriel Shamosh and Philippe Kompatzki also scored, and goalkeeper Matthew Jean Baptiste recorded his 5th shutout of the season. Shamosh was named the game’s Player of the Match.

That makes five conseutvie wins for NSU U, improving to 11-3-1.

In girls’ soccer, Lourdes Academy beat Doral Academy 5-1.

Antonella Monsalve and Gianna Gray each scored twice, and Veronica Aguilar added a goal. Nicole Lee recorded two assists, and Sienna Aviles and Lia Chantres also had assists.

The Bobcats are 9-1-2.

Basketball

In their first meeting ever, a defensive battle, the True North Classical Academy boys’ basketball team defeated Doral Academy 53-50.

The Titans totaled 20 rebounds made 8 steals and blocked 2 shots, while allowing 50 points en route to their fifth consecutive win.

True North is now 8-9, and Doral is 10-4.

A Miami Herald All-Dade second team selection as a freshman last season, Brown is currently averaging a double-double, including stellar performances in her last three games.
