Results are in. LaSalle soccer standout voted Herald High School Athlete of the Week

Miami LaSalle girls’ soccer player Olivia Rodriguez-Salem is the Miami Herald’s High School Athlete of the Week, as voted on by readers in our weekly poll.

The freshman goalkeeper recorded two more shutouts (1-0 over Southwest Ranches Archbishop McCarthy and 3-0 over Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna), giving her six this season as the Royal Lions improved to 7-3.

Sumayah Brown of Coconut Creek North Broward Prep soccer, Cameron Boozer of Miami Columbus basketball, J’adore Hayes of North Miami basketball, Jonathan Joseph of North Miami basketball, Alejandro Gonzalez of Weston Cypress Bay soccer, Ainsley Seidel of Coral Gables soccer, Fiorella Careaga of Miami Barbara Goleman soccer, and Nicolas Wieciorovski, Miami Dr. Krop soccer rounded out the participants in this week’s poll.

The Miami Herald Athlete of the Week poll opens Sunday every week and closes around 10 p.m. Thursday.
