Miami Coral Reef boys’ cross-country runner Luis Marti is the Miami Herald’s High School Athlete of the Week, as voted on by readers in our weekly poll.

Marti won the Larry Wooten Invitational in a boys’ field of 173 runners in Miami in 16:50, while helping the Barracudas win the team title of 21 teams.

Miami Lourdes golfers Gabriella Barcia and Megan Bermejo, Plantation American Heritage volleyball player Isabella Bernhardt, Miami Dr. Krop bowler Joselyn Reyes-Clark, Lourdes cross-country runner Daniella Fraga, Miami Belen Jesuit cross-country runner Marcelo Mantecon, Doral Academy volleyball player Erin McMullen, Miami Ferguson bowler Frank Molina, Fort Lauderdale Westminster Academy runner Jonathan Pena, Fort Lauderdale Archbishop McCarthy golfer Paulina Ramirez, Coral Reef runner Samantha Ruiz and Miami Columbus golfer Hector Perez Sainz rounded out the participants in this week’s poll.

The Miami Herald Football and Athlete of the Week polls open Sunday every week and close around 10 p.m. Thursday.
